Perlane®

What is Perlane®?

Perlane® is a cosmetic dermal filler that replaces lost volume and restores youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corner of your mouth (nasolabial folds). In the human body, natural hylauronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin, but it diminishes with age. Perlane® is made from hyaluronic acid that has been modified slightly to last longer than the body's own hyaluronic acid.

What makes Perlane® unique?

Perlane® is made by a biotechnical process. It has larger particles designed for deeper injection than Restylane®. Doctors may choose Perlane® to add volume and structure within the skin to smooth away the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth. Your doctor will decide which product is right for you based on an evaluation of your facial wrinkles and folds.

How long does Perlane® last?

A patented stabilization technology helps Perlane® maintain its cosmetic effect for at least six months, in a majority of patients. How long the aesthetic correction lasts is very individual. Talk to your doctor about the benefits of scheduling a follow up appointment in about six months.

Restylane®

What is Restylane®?

It is a safe natural cosmetic dermal filler (hyaluronic acid) which already exists in the body. Restylane® will restore fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds such as lip line creases and lip corner drooping.

The average Restylane® treatment results last six months or more. Restylane® does not require any allergy testing because it cannot produce any allergic reaction.
The most common side effect, as with any injection, is temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve within two to three days.
